Chatgpt Creator company OpenAI aims for “Superintelligence”

Chatgpt creator OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman is looking to get more financial support from Microsoft as they delve into the quest for “superintelligence.” Microsoft(R) had pledged up to $10 billion for OpenAI earlier this year, fostering collaborations in AI supercomputing and research. Altman is pleased with the Microsoft partnership, aiming to secure additional funds over time to develop more advanced AI models.

His focus is on exploring artificial general intelligence (AGI), ensuring its safety, and understanding its benefits. AGI, which IBM sees as having intelligence on par with humans, is still a theoretical concept. Altman mentioned OpenAI’s earlier work on autonomous agents that could handle tasks like payments and emails before diving into projects like GPTs.
